Andrew Benbow
Director
Andrew has been serving homeowners across the Sandhills area for over 20 years. He launched Retriever in 2020 as part of Caviness & Cates, bringing together warranty and remodeling services into one trusted resource for homeowners. Since then, he’s helped grow the division while staying closely involved in day-to-day operations—meeting with customers, walking job sites, and making sure projects stay on track. Andrew is known for being clear, patient, and easy to work with. He takes the time to understand what homeowners want and communicates every step of the way so there are no surprises. His hands-on approach and consistency have earned the trust of many local clients, and he takes pride in delivering quality work that people feel confident recommending to others. Andrew and his family have called Pinehurst home for over 10 years, in a house he built himself. He’s married with a daughter, and they are actively involved in their local church and community. They enjoy traveling, reading, paddleboarding, and training for running races together. Their dog Maya is always along for the ride—especially when it involves camping trips and the outdoors.
David Pattishall
Division Manager
David's 25+ year career in the construction industry began in residential and commercial remodeling in his own company which specialized in upfits, additions, and structural repairs. He then went on to supervise the construction of new homes as a superintendent and now acts as a warranty manager! He loves working for this company because of the quality of the product and the employees/owners who genuinely care. In his time off he and his wife love to travel, shell hunt with his 7-year-old dog, a Saluki named Sawa, and spend time with our girls and friends.
Mike Rose
Division Manager
Mike has been in new home construction for over 20 years! He says, "I love working at this company because I can do the right thing. A lot of companies deal with customers and employees like they are numbers. We don't do that and to me, that's what makes the difference." Mike is always busy with working on cars, trucks, and building a cabin in Tennessee. He loves staying busy with his wife, 3 kids, and 3 dogs!
Erica Jackson
Office Manager
Erica has been in the building industry for 16 years, originally in kitchen, bath, and cabinet design. She earned her Business Administration degree from Fayetteville Tech and loves working for Retriever because her coworkers are like family. She enjoys spending time at Holden Beach with her family and English/American bulldog mix, Hank who loves to ride in the car and meet new people!
Bob Welch
Project Manager
Bob brings decades of hands-on construction expertise and a no-nonsense commitment to getting the job done right the first time. A familiar face on job sites across the region, Bob is known for his calm confidence, sharp eye for detail, and the kind of straight-talking honesty that homeowners genuinely appreciate. He loves working at Retriever because the team shares his belief that quality craftsmanship and treating people with respect aren't optional — they're the standard. When he's not managing projects, you'll likely find Bob outdoors, enjoying everything the Carolinas have to offer.
Joe Mikuski
Project Manager
Joe has been in the building industry for over 40 years, 30 of which were spent owning and operating his own construction company that specialized in exterior remodeling. He loves working at Retriever because of the support he gets from management and coworkers as well as the opportunity to meet new homeowners from all over the world. In his free time, Joe enjoys riding his motorcycle with his wife of 33yrs, going to the gym or walking trail with his daughter, and relaxing at night in his recliner with his dog Pokey.
Earl Gregory
Project Manager
Earl has been in home construction for over 25 years! Working at Retriever is fun for him because no day is ever the same and that he gets to work directly with the homeowners. Earl, his family, dog Cocoa, and cat Rooney enjoy exploring the beach and mountains... and their favorite season is football season!
Canyon Scott
Project Manager
Canyon has been in the construction industry his whole life, and built his first house for Habitat for Humanity in high school! He loves that this job allows him to meet new people and solve problems. On his time off, he loves to go out on the boat with his wife, daughter, and dog Gunner who rides on the front to keep an eye on where they are going!
Amy Shilling
Project Manager
Amy has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. A fun fact is that her dad owned his own residential construction business and built houses, but she never imagined she would follow in his footsteps growing up.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family. She has two horses and three dogs. In the summer, you’ll likely find her and her family at local rodeos or jackpots running barrels.
Manuel Arizpe
Project Manager
I bring 28 years of construction experience to the team, including 14 years owning and operating my own plumbing company specializing in custom homes and remodels. I’m also a National Championship competitor in the TAP Pool League, where focus and discipline are just as important as they are on the job. I’m a proud father of two accomplished sons— both who I guided through Boy Scouts and Tae Kwan Do one of which achieved Eagle Scout and a black belt —and the values of integrity, perseverance, and accountability guide both my personal and professional life. At Caviness & Cates, I serve in multiple roles including Project Estimator, Project Manager, Warranty Technician, and supporting property maintenance for 11@Main, and I value being part of a company that upholds the same standards and ethics I’ve built my career on. I can honestly say that I’ve never worked for a better company or alongside better people.
